Not keen on Blogger's new image viewer. If you want to see the pic at the intended resolution, just right click and select 'view image'.

Fixed thanks to the wonderful Paul Richards. Thanks, Paul!

Warcraft, Tumblr and Memorabilia

Time for another little dump of work done for the World of Warcraft TCG. Nothing pleases me more than selecting the appropriate Manowar album, gulping on a hot mug of tea and getting stuck into something green, toothy and thoroughly bad-tempered..!

These images will also be popping up on my newly-started Tumblr page - follow!

Finally, a reminder than I'll be in attendance at the Memorabilia show at the NEC in Birmingham, UK - November 19 and 20. Pop in and say hello if you're in the area.

Peace, love and heavy metal!

Self portrait

As if the Halloween pin-ups weren't horrific enough - today's post is a self portrait! It's ConceptArt.org's International Self Portrait Day. Join in here.

I'm not entirely sure why my self portraits always seem to come out so serious. I guess I must have to concentrate pretty hard while I work..!

Earache

I like Metal. I would think that's no surprise to anyone who knows my work. So to have the opportunity to work with Earache records, who I've admired since I picked up a copy of 'Scum' by Napalm Death back in 1987, was a thrill to say the least.

This piece is the cover for their upcoming 'Maximum Metal' DVD. Four hours of footage of Deicide, Municipal Waste, Morbid Angel and At The Gates. Available to pre-order at Amazon now - Maximum Metal

Dixon's Vixens

Dixon's Vixens are here! Pin-up trading cards with attitude! Every pack includes the complete 18 card base set, a signed card, plus at least one mini chase card previewing art from the next set. Half the packs contain a dedicated autograph card, while the other half will have a signed random base card.

Produced by the delightful folks at Cult Stuff, each card measures the standard 2.5 x 3.5 inches. The run is limited to just 1000 sets worldwide, 500 of which will be sold by me directly. If the huge pile of little bags I've taken to the Post Office this morning is anything to go by, they won't last long! Start your collection of pocket-sized princesses today!

Ask at your friendly neighbourhood card emporium or, better yet, order direct from my website and have them delivered right to your cave!

If you prefer to buy your swag face to face, I'll be at the London MCM Expo 27 - 29 May, Excel London where these diminutive darlings will be on sale alongside a selection of other busty treats. Hope to see you there!

Peace, love and heavy metal!

Warcraft cards and Bristol

Lots of my work is completed long before I can show it publicly. That often means I forget to show it at all! Here are a few of the many World of Warcraft trading cards I've illustrated over the past few years -

Last weekend I had the great pleasure to attend the Bristol Comic and Small Press Expo. It was my first time at this particular show and it was great fun. It was also a great opportunity to catch up with some old friends, and meet some new buddies! Aah. It's nice to crawl out of my dark little room from time to time.

Little pin-ups!

'Dixon's Vixens' are almost here! Produced by the splendid folks at Cult Stuff, this limited edition set of pin-up trading cards will soon be released into the wild! I'll post more details once the set is available in a few weeks, but I'm currently applying my signature to hundreds of little Vixens and the cards look and feel great. I must say, there's a strange feeling when I finish a painting and the barbarian lass that I've spent the previous day colouring in gazes back at me, but to be surrounded by a small army of the little blighters all giving me the same cheeky smirk is a very odd sensation indeed!

The finished sets will be for sale through my site, and I should also have them for sale at my upcoming appearances at the Bristol International Comic and Small Press Expo ( 14 - 15 May ) and London MCM Expo ( 27 - 29 May ).

Artsprojekt

A modest range of products emblazoned with my doodles can now be found on Artsprojekt.

iPad or iPhone just not as cool as they used to be? Fret not! Simply apply one of the cases from my store to instantly restore you gadget's desirability - be the envy of your family, friends and school dinnerladies! But the magic of shopping for items you could probably live without doesn't stop there - you'll also find stickers and badges which will allow you to perform this marvellous transformation to all manner of objects. Just imagine it. Hard to think of anything that wouldn't look better with a few stickers slapped on it, isn't it? The able bodied amongst you can even choose from a selection of skateboards!

Take a look, and tell your friends! All profits go towards keeping me in flared trousers and that expensive French moustache shampoo I like so much.

Frazetta Tribute Exhibition

I'm delighted to report that two of my paintings ( Selkie and Snow Hunters ) have been selected for inclusion in Gallery Provocateur's upcoming Frank Frazetta Tribute exhibition. It's a genuine thrill to know my humble pieces will be sharing wallspace with works from artists such as Daren Bader, Christopher Shy, Cos Koniotis and Dave Dorman, to name just a few, and it's wonderful to be involved in a celebration of the guy who almost single-handedly defined modern fantasy art, Frank Frazetta.

The exhibition opens on March 18, 2011 and runs for 3 months at Gallery Provocateur, 2125 N Rockwell, Chicago, IL 60647, USA. All gallery proceeds are being donated to charity. More information here - Gallery Provocateur
